About the LBCP
Established in 2020, Lunan Bay Communities Partnership (LBCP) is a community-led educational charity (SCO50906) preserving and improving the environment, wildlife, infrastructure and heritage of Lunan Bay, whilst nurturing a responsible community.
We run Scotland’s first community-led coastal Ranger Service, providing community outdoor education programs, visitor management services and conservation activities at Lunan Bay.
LBCP works in partnership with our local authority, Angus Council and multiple landowners at Lunan Bay to achieve our shared aims and objectives. We collaborate with likeminded community groups, biodiversity organisations, local schools, fellow Ranger services, and organisations with an interest in the effective and sustainable management, biodiversity and ecology of Lunan Bay.
About the LBCP
Working Closely Together
The group was brought together following a spate of antisocial behaviour, overcrowding and infringements to Scottish Outdoor Access Codes which affected both residents and visitors during summer 2020 following the lifting of COVID lockdown”- Jillian McEwan PhD, LBCP Comms Officer
The LBCP is also establishing the Friends of the Lunan Bay for non-residents of the area. Allowing people with an affinity for Lunan Bay, to get involved with the LBCP activities.
