We were very excited to welcome BBC Radio Scotland’s Out of Doors team to Lunan Bay this week to learn more about our community-led Ranger Service, providing free outdoor education for all, a first in Scotland.

The brand-new viewing platform, installed on time and on budget, has already made a life-changing difference.
Help us raise ÂŁ50,000 to make Lunan Bay fully accessible for all. Phase 1 built a stunning viewing platform, now we need your help to complete the boardwalk for wheelchair users, families & elderly visitors.
In response, The LBCP came up with the idea to offer a community-led Ranger Service at Lunan Bay to educate visitors on SOAC and the benefits of the outdoors, while reducing stress and anxieties for the residents.
Proposals to mitigate this include: natural regeneration of woodland on established dunes, ongoing monitoring the effects of climate change and maintaining relatively low key development and recreational provision.
